With The Hippo Virtual Events, you can have the fun of shopping all the great deals you find at Hippos from the comfort of your home. Then pick up your purchases during the designated pick up days. It couldn’t be simpler!

When you shop at a Hippo Virtual Event it’s as easy as 1, 2, 3!!
1. Shop from where ever you are and add items to your cart.
2. Check out online and pay for your items
3. Pick up your items on the designated pick up days.
How do I shop a virtual event?
It is very easy! When the virtual event is open, we will have the link to shop on our website. We will also share the link on Facebook and Instagram and send it in a text to our VIP Texting club members.
Just click the link and start shopping!
When and where is pick up?
Pick up will be at the Hernando County Fairgounds located at 6436 Broad Street Brooksville, FL 34601
Pick up days
Friday Nov. 13th 2pm to 8pm (shoppers who ordered on Weds or Thurs)
Sat. Nov. 14th 10am to 2pm (shoppers who ordered on Weds, Thurs)
Sun. Nov. 15th 1pm to 7pm (shoppers who ordered on Friday or Sat.)
Mon. Nov. 16th 9am to Noon (pick up for everyone)
What if I don't like what I buy?
When you come to pick up, you will have a chance to inspect the items you have bought and if something is not what you expected, you will have the opportunity to return the item.
All sales will be final once you have left the fairgrounds property with the items.
What kind of items will be at the virtual event?
The online event is the best of both types of Hippo events rolled into one!!
We are combining the children’s event and the teen/adult event into one big online event. So you can shop things for your children, teen and yourself all in one big online event!! Toys, baby equipment, ride on toys, strollers, pack n plays, books, car seats, craft items, back packs., games, puzzles, furniture, boppy pillows, bikes, clothing, kitchen, home decor and household items!
Will you have pre-sales?
Yes! We will have lots of pre-sales which means an opportunity for you to shop early!
Here’s how presales will work!
1. Buy your ticket to the presale time you want.
2. You will get an email and/or a text message an hour before the presale begins with a password to logon to shop!
3. You will have a 4 hour time frame to shop before the next presale will begin.
Consigning
Consigning at a Hippo Virtual Event is as easy as pie!
1. Register to consign
2. Get your items listed online.
3. Drop off your items.
4. Pick up your check.
IMPORTANT things to know!

Categories matter! —-What category you list your item will determine the category it is placed into in the online store. So if you put a doll in the bath category then that is where it will be listed in the online store. We have NO CONTROL over this! This is how the mapping of the online store will work.

Your inventory Matters!!!! — What is in your inventory mattes! Why? because if you have it listed in your active inventory, we will send it to the online store to be sold. This means if you aren’t bringing it, you MUST delete it!!
How is consigning with the virtual event different than your regular event?
There are a couple things that are different.
1. This is a combo event meaning you can sell everything from the children’s event (clothing, shoes, toys, baby equipment, etc) AND you can sell some things from the teen/adult event like household items, kitchen and home decor.
2. Pricing for the virtual event starts at $3.00 and goes up in increments of a dollar. You can group like items together to price things at $3.00.
3. There is a limit on children’s clothing. Only 50 girls clothing and 50 boys clothing items.
4. No teen/adult clothing.
Things that are the same.
1. You enter in your items online
2. You decide the price
3. You decide if it goes on discount
4. You decide if you donate or pick up.
How do I register?
When registration opens, you will click the link on the website to register. If you have consign with us before at a regular Hippo event, you can use your same consignor number.
What kind of items can I consign?
You can consign everything for kids except clothing, shoes and accessories. We accept Holiday themed clothing.
Do I need to use wire hangers?
No! You do NOT need to put clothing on a wire hanger BUT you must put outfits into a grocery type plastic bag like a walmart, target or publix bag to keep the clothing items together.
Also, safety pin groups of items together and pin the tag to the clothing.
We want to make sure to keep all things together.
Is this a Children's event or Teen/adult event?
This is a COMBO event. It’s the best of both events rolled into one.
You can sell anything and everything from the children’s event and you can sell some of the most sought after categories from the teen/adult event which are:
1. Kitchen
2. Household items
3. Purses
4. Home decor
Just remember, the minimum price is $3.00. You can group things together to reach that minimum price.
Can I donate my unsold items?
Yes! You can donate your unsold items or pick them up if you wish to pick up your items.
It is your choice!
How does drop off work?
Drop off is super easy! There will be 2 drop off days and you will select a day and time to bring your items to us at the Fairgrounds.
There will be no need to put your items out on the sales floor. Just bring them inside and we will take them from there!
So how will this work selling my items online?
Just like in a regular event, we will do all the work of selling your items!
We will take professional pictures of each item and upload them into our online selling platform with descriptions. Then shoppers will come to the website and shop just like they were shopping on Amazon!
The shopper will put items into their online shopping cart and check out and pay for the items.
We will get their order ready for pick up!
When do I get my check?
Checks will be available for pick up on pick up day. If you do not come to pick up your check then it will automatically be mailed to you.
